Dog Licensing

Dog license(s) must be renewed during the months of January and February to avoid late fee.  A rabies vaccination is not valid if the expiration date expires prior to November 1, 2024.  Renewals received after March 1st will be assessed a $10 mandatory late fee.

If you are renewing your dog license(s) and the rabies vaccination is still valid, kindly return the bottom portion of the invoice with your check made payable to the Borough of Waldwick via mail or drop box located outside of the Administration Building along the pedestrian corridor with your check payable to the Borough of Waldwick.  If you are renewing your dog license(s) but are required to provide proof of valid rabies vaccination, same procedure as above but also include a copy of the valid rabies vaccination.  Once we process your payment, your 2024 dog(s) license(s) will be ready for pickup only.

If you are new to town or have a new dog(s), you can complete the Dog License Application, include copy of proof of spay/neuter certificate and a copy of proof of valid rabies vaccination along with your check payable to the Borough of Waldwick via mail or drop box located outside of the Administration Building along the pedestrian corridor.  The fee is $15 for spayed/neutered dogs and $18 for non-spayed/non-neutered dogs.

If your dog(s) are no longer at your address, please contact us at 201-652-5300 ext. 238 so we can update our records.

HELP KEEP OUR WATER CLEAN – CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET

Animal waste from pets can pollute our waters.  It is required that animal solid waste be immediately and properly disposed of in order to prevent high concentrations of nutrients, bacteria and disease causing micro-organisms from entering our rivers, lakes and even drinking water.

When walking your pet, please follow our Ordinance by picking up the waste, wrapping it and disposing into the garbage or unwrap and flush down the toilet. Thanks for doing your part in keeping our waters clean!
